About Us

Company Overview

Established in 1993 and headquartered in Taiwan, United Orthopedic Corporation (UOC) is a leading international designer, manufacturer and distributor of innovative, regulatory-compliant implants and instrumentation used in total hip and knee replacements and revision surgeries. We entered the American market in 2000 and offer solutions and support through a growing U.S. subsidiary called UOC USA.

Since inception, UOC has had the privilege of equipping and supporting practitioners and institutions in their compassionate pursuit of improving patients’ confidence, mobility and quality of life. This ongoing partnership with the orthopedic community has restored hope and dignity to hundreds of thousands of individuals and families worldwide.

The UOC Advantage: Turnkey, In-House Production

Patient safety and positive outcomes have always been UOC’s highest priorities. To ensure predictable product reliability, UOC does not outsource design or manufacturing but instead performs all critical manufacturing processes in-house, under the supervision of QA teams that include engineers, scientists and inspectors, who continually monitor and assess critical production processes.
UOC’s unique, vertically-integrated production model and uncompromising technical excellence have resulted in an award-winning product line that is trusted by practitioners and patients throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

  • Superior Quality – Every aspect of our manufacturing process is overseen internally, ensuring superior control at every stage of production. UOC-operated QMS (Quality Management Systems) comply with ISO 9001/13485, FDA, and CE requirements.
  • Significant Cost Savings – Proven, repeatable production processes, developed through decades of continuous improvement and technology investment, enable UOC to design and manufacture dependable, value-rich solutions at highly competitive price points.
  • Product Customization – A key benefit of UOC’s unique in-house design and production capabilities is the ability to rapidly fulfill requests for complex or highly customized surgical tools and instruments.
  • Unparalleled Responsiveness – In-house manufacturing allows UOC to respond quickly to market demands, accelerating modifications and helping us meet a wider range of clinical needs.
  • Dependable Deliveries – Because we directly control production, UOC inventories are stable, predictable and reliable throughout the year, so orders are processed and delivered in the quickest and most efficient manner possible.

At the Forefront of Healthcare

UOC’s ongoing investment in product R&D and advanced manufacturing technology contributes to a dynamic pipeline and portfolio that reflect our genuine dedication to innovation, reliability and value.

UOC’s thoughtful, user-centric designs are a result of rigorous clinical research and direct practitioner input, with special emphasis always placed on quality, performance and customizability. UOC products are also characterized by clinical versatility, with each tool and instrument set designed to increase surgical efficiency and reduce time spent in the operating suite.

Since entering the American market in 2000, UOC’s service offering has grown to include import/export, including relevant, supportive business functions such as advertising, marketing and order quotations. At the retail and wholesale level, activities include nutritional supplements, medical devices, medical materials and healthcare devices.
